WHAT WE SAY:
PNG coffee is the underdog of the specialty coffee world. It's not be as sexy as its African and South American friends, however the humble Simbu has real character and punches well above its weight - that's why we love it!
Simbu is the quiet achiever in our FREEDOM blend where it adds a touch of bittersweet acidity and a super silky mega crema. We have recently singled it out with excellent results. Roasted to light espresso but flexible for most brew methods.
As a filter its sweet and smooth like a mouthful of dried apricots. In espresso we get sparkling blood orange upfront followed by bitter sweet bakers cocoa and a loooong finish. With milk it reminds us of a malty milkshake from your childhood corner store.
